Mia has specialized in color for more than 20 years and has trained in San Francisco, Paris, New York, London, Miami, and Los Angeles. Mia got her start in the industry as a model for Apple, Coca Cola, and Bank of America and worked as a print and commercial stylist. A sought after colorist at premiere San Francisco salons, Architects & Heroes and DiPietro Todd, Mia’s work is recommended by Allure Magazine. She has been voted “Best Hair Color” for several awards including the San Francisco Bay-List, the Best of City Search and San Francisco Magazine’s Best of the Bay Area awards. CBS 5 has named Mia the “Best Hair Colorist” for the past several years.
Mia has extensive knowledge of products such as L’oreal, Redken, Olaplex, Goldwell, Schwartzkopf, and Wella through her many years as a hair color educator. She has shared her expertise answering the mailbag for GLAM, Top Button, Behind The Chair, San Francisco Magazine and Latina. With both Mexican and Filipino ancestry, Mia prides herself on being an expert in Asian and Latino hair color. Her forte is the beachy California surfer girl look and she is the creator of the exclusive anti-aging hair treatment, HALO.
Mia is an avid equestrian and animal lover and spends her free time riding her beloved horse, Maximus and throwing tennis balls for her dog, Otis. With a spirit for adventure, Mia has traveled the world exploring new cultures, food and art. A native Californian, the beach is her favorite spot to relax, enjoy a glass of wine and watch the sunset at the end of a long day.
